In a strategic move to enhance its presence in the UK purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) market, Far East Orchard acquired a 49% stake in Homes for Students (HFS), a leading PBSA operator managing over 55,000 beds, in 2024. By September 2025, the company increased its stake to an impressive 84%. This acquisition has bolstered Far East Orchard’s overall portfolio, which now encompasses approximately 60,000 owned and managed beds.
