What we publish
- Pillar guides — researched reference content on investment, yields, operators, valuation, and due diligence.
- News & commentary — timely PBSA sector updates, often adapted from reputable trade press with original investor/operator context where relevant.
- Directory & listings — factual company and scheme data; not independent journalism.
People-first standards
We align with Google's guidance for helpful, reliable content: unique insight where possible, clear structure, sourced statistics, and no mass-produced pages designed only to capture search variants. We also publish an llms.txt file and permissive crawler signals so AI search engines (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude) can discover and cite our PBSA guides and research.
AI-assisted news workflow
PBSA news is drafted with AI assistance from trade and primary sources, then reviewed before publication. News posts must meet about 180+ words and at least one outbound link (typically the company website on a second company mention; first mentions link internally to the PBSAX directory) before the pipeline will publish. We do not append trade-press "Source: domain" footers. Evergreen guides and analysis use a stricter bar (600+ words, two sources). All published blog posts remain indexable on www.pbsax.com.
Sources & data
Guides cite public sources where possible (e.g. HESA, RICS, sector research). Yield and market ranges on city guides are indicative and change with transactions — they are not a substitute for professional advice or a formal valuation.
AI discovery & crawlers
We optimise for AI search visibility (GEO/AEO). Our robots.txt explicitly allows major AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and others) with Content-Signals permitting search indexing, AI input, and training. Our llms.txt highlights key guides, research, and marketplace pages for AI systems. Googlebot remains allowed for Google Search and AI Overviews.
Corrections
If you believe something is inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, email [email protected] with the URL, the passage, and your preferred correction or source. We aim to review substantive requests within five working days and update pages with a revised "Last reviewed" date where appropriate.
Conflicts
PBSAX operates a PBSA marketplace. Guides are written to inform readers, not to replace regulated advice. Listings and directory entries may relate to commercial relationships; sponsored or partner content will be labelled when applicable.
