NGSK Developments and GMKM Developments have submitted planning applications for two purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) sites on the lower Strand Road in Derry, Northern Ireland. Both developments have been designed by Like Architects.
Development Details
NGSK Developments has lodged a planning application for a 525-bedroom PBSA block at the showroom site located at 162 Strand Road. This development will feature a courtyard, gym, quiet study area, car parking, and bicycle storage. A pre-application consultation event regarding these proposals was held before Christmas 2025.
Meanwhile, GMKM Developments has submitted plans for a 324-bedroom PBSA across the road at 173 Strand Road. This smaller site will also include a gym, courtyard, amenity spaces, and bicycle storage.
