VINCI Construction's capabilities span various project types, from daily operations to large-scale infrastructure developments. The division is organised into Major Projects, Specialty Networks, and Proximity Networks, ensuring a comprehensive presence across its markets. The company focuses on delivering sustainable and innovative solutions that support regional growth and benefit future generations. This includes the design and construction of works primarily in building, civil engineering, and hydraulics, as well as the construction, renovation, and upkeep of transport infrastructures such as roads, highways, and rail networks.
While VINCI's activities are broad, the firm has demonstrated experience in the student accommodation sector within the UK. VINCI Construction UK was awarded the contract for Student Accommodation Project 3 (SAP3) for the University of the West of England in Bristol. This development is one of the UK's largest Passivhaus certified student accommodation projects, providing 900 bed-spaces across 26,000 square metres in a mix of studios and multi-bed clusters. Construction for SAP3 commenced in November 2021 and was scheduled for handover before the 2023/2024 academic year. Additionally, VINCI Construction UK secured a design-build contract for two student housing complexes in Cardiff, Wales, which collectively offer 544 independent rooms and were delivered in autumn 2017. The company has also constructed eight multi-storey student accommodation blocks for the University of Manchester, providing 1,122 student rooms.
VINCI is committed to operating in an environmentally, socially responsible, and ethical manner, with a vision of sustainability that extends beyond economic and financial results. The company's projects are considered to be in the public interest, and it prioritises engagement and dialogue with all stakeholders. This approach aims to create long-term value for customers, shareholders, employees, partners, and society at large. The firm's focus on innovation and the engagement of its teams are central to its objective of forging a sustainable world.
