Puma Property Finance, a key part of the group, has a significant focus on the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector. The firm provides flexible lending solutions to property developers and investors, having supplied funding to over £2 billion of UK projects across various sectors, including student accommodation. PBSA is considered one of its core lending sectors, addressing the structural shortage of student housing in many university cities. The company has funded numerous PBSA developments, including an £8.5 million loan for a 71-bed scheme near the University of Sussex and University of Brighton's Falmer campuses, which was its fourth PBSA development loan in nine months at the time, following others in Belfast, Colchester, and Leicester. More recently, Puma Property Finance provided a £58 million loan for a 432-bed PBSA scheme in Glasgow city centre and a £72 million construction loan for a 790-bed PBSA scheme in Nottingham, representing its largest loan to date.
