Overview
Temple Island sits at the heart of Bristol's Temple Quarter regeneration — a major city-centre transformation of former industrial land into a mixed-use innovation district. UPP has been selected as preferred bidder to deliver 890 postgraduate bedrooms across three buildings designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, with Watkin Jones as delivery partner.
The scheme is positioned directly beside the University of Bristol's Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, which opens to students in 2026. A long-term nominations agreement will see UPP manage day-to-day operations, with the accommodation primarily serving one-year postgraduate students.
Amenity provision includes 1,143 sq m of shared study and social space. Opening is targeted for 2030, following design development and financial close. It forms part of a wider commitment to regenerate a previously neglected area of central Bristol.
