UWE Student Village

UWE Student Village is the university's on-campus residence at Frenchay on Coldharbour Lane, providing a home for over 2,000 students within a short walk of lectures, the library, and the Students' Union. The village is organised around four courtyards — Brecon, Cotswold, Mendip, and Quantock — each grouping five- or six-person flats with en-suite bedrooms and shared kitchens.

Room options include standard en-suite study bedrooms and superior en-suite rooms with small double beds and refurbished interiors. All buildings offer lift access, outdoor space, and bike storage, with optional gym membership available through the Centre for Sport. Contracts run for 42 weeks, with contents insurance included through Cover4Students.

Opened as part of the Frenchay campus expansion, the Student Village remains UWE-managed self-catered accommodation at the core of the Frenchay estate, alongside later developments including Wallscourt Park and Purdown View.
