This facility previously provided accommodation for athletes and support staff during the recent Commonwealth Games, highlighting its versatility and strategic location.

Glasgow is home to over 75,000 full-time students, yet only around 20,800 operational student beds are available, leading to one of the country’s highest student-to-bed ratios.

The design of St Vincent Studios, marked by a stepped form, is sensitive to the surrounding architectural context, establishing a new landmark at the edge of the Glasgow Central Conservation Area. The façade features three distinct shades of green terracotta, a nod to the city’s historical use of ceramics, and complements the warm red sandstone of adjacent buildings, including the category A-listed St Columba Gaelic Church.
