Alumno, in collaboration with Invesco Real Estate, has proudly announced a significant milestone in the construction of The Canvas Building, a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) project located in Manchester. This development, which carries a price tag of £29 million, has successfully reached the topping out stage and is slated to house 261 student beds by the start of the 2027 academic year.
Project Overview
The Canvas Building is designed by Stallan Brand Architects and features a striking nine-storey structure alongside the refurbishment of a historically significant Georgian villa. This thoughtful design approach aims to harmonise modern architectural elements with local heritage, creating a unique living environment situated conveniently near both the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
