Real estate consultancy Bidwells has recently announced the appointment of Scott Cabot as the new Head of Residential Research. Scott joins the firm following a successful 12-year tenure at CBRE, where he held the position of Head of Residential Research within the UK research team. His previous experience also includes a role at the London-based developer Aitch Group, and he began his career in the financial services sector, working in wealth management at Standard Chartered Bank and W1M.
Scott Cabot’s Vision
At Bidwells, Cabot will collaborate closely with Research Director Sue Foxley and the broader research team to provide strategic insights and market intelligence across the UK residential sector. His extensive background will enable him to leverage Bidwells’ prominent position within the science and technology economy, linking the growth of the UK’s innovation clusters with the underlying drivers of residential demand affecting the firm’s client base.
Focus on Innovation and Residential Demand
Cabot has expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “The interaction between the UK’s innovation economy and its housing markets is one of the most interesting questions in real estate right now, and the business has a genuine vantage point on which to build.” His focus will not only be on residential research but also on shaping the strategy that underpins it, ensuring that it aligns with the evolving landscape of the UK housing market.
